September 3, 2015 is the 70th anniversary day of the victory of the Chinese people's war of resistance against Japanese aggression. It will be a GH under the General Holidays Ordinance so that all banks, educational establishments, public offices and government departments need not open on that day.
The day will also be an SH under the Employment Ordinance (EO), and employers of all employees covered by the EO, including those of imported workers and foreign domestic helpers, irrespective of the hours of work or length of service, should arrange for their employees to take an SH on that day.
